Microneedling
Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy) is a nonsurgical treatment that penetrates the skin surface with tiny needles which starts a wound healing response to enhance collagen and elastin production and new skin cells for the purpose of rejuvenation. Depending on the depth of the needle penetration, this can offer skin rejuvenation levels from the simple enhancement of absorption of botanical and natural serums to the clinical treatment of scars, wrinkles and age spots with penetrating into the dermis layer. With the high-quality medical pen device that we use at Eastside Gentle Acupuncture, this procedure is safe and painless and more than 95% of our clients tolerate it very well without any numbing cream.
Microneedling is very effective in reducing/ treating wrinkles, scars, age spots, acne, stretch marks, and alopecia (help with hair growth). It can be used on the face, neck, decolletage (upper chest), head, hands, and small areas. Microneedling can be done monthly and is gentle enough that in a few hours or the next day, redness on the skin disappears.
Nanoneedling uses the same type of oscillating motion as microneedling, to treat the skin, but the cartridge encompasses 81 silicone tips. These microscopic hair-like cones separate the cells within the epidermis to allow active products to be pushed into the skin. Nanoneedling is painless and only affects the epidermis, treating within the upper .15 mm of the skin. The benefits of this serum infusion treatment include pigmentation reduction, increased cell turnover, skin rejuvenation and an immediate glow. This treatment can be done weekly to exfoliate the skin. Nanoneedling allows up to 97% of absorption of the serums that we use during the procedure.

Biolight therapy is also effective in alopecia to regrow and thicken hair.
