Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the main focus of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which goes back to 4000 years ago. Nowadays it is widely used not only in China but also in Europe and Unites States of America.
Acupuncture treatment involves insertion of hair thin, sterile and disposable needles into specific acupuncture points. Generally the needles will remain for 20-45 minutes according to patient’s constitution and tolerance. Although many patients report they don’t even feel the majority of the insertions but some may experience minimal discomfort.

It is common to feel relaxed after an acupuncture treatment. Taking a nap or resting after the session will enhance the results.

The most common acupuncture side effects are bleeding and bruising at the site of insertion, along with minor pain and soreness. Serious complications are extremely rare when acupuncture is performed by a qualified, certified practitioner.

Acupuncture is a safe, drug free and an effective method of treatment not only in adults but also in infants and children.
